HMK-CD2 Particle Size Analyzer

AimSizer built the HMK-CD2 particle size distribution analyzer in accordance with the international standard ISO 13320. It is a new generation of particle size analysis equipment that combines laser, computer, and photonics technology into a single body.

HMK-CD2 is a highly intelligent and completely automatic particle size analyzer that employs full-scale Mie scattering theory and a unique approach for particle size distribution analysis and calculation.

The dispersing, agitating, and ultrasonic systems are all housed inside the host. This design significantly improves precision and substantially decreases instability during the circulation process for a unit with a size range as wide as 0.01 to 3000 micrometers.

Each sample measurement can be completed in under a minute, even with many calculations to be performed. The signals are generated, communicated, and recorded automatically for the operator to see or print in a user-friendly format.

Applications

Particle size distribution of the following emulsions or materials: chemicals, aluminum oxide, rare earth catalyst, blowing agents, refractory, cement, graphite, pesticides, pigments, pharmaceuticals, titanium dioxide, ceramics, building materials, cosmetics, abrasives, paint/pigment, food, calcium carbonate, talc, kaolin, paper, and so on.

Features

  • The HMK-CD2 has optical components, electronic integrated circuits, ultrasonic dispersion, agitation, and completely automated cleaning all in one body. The computer automatically aligns the components. The sample remains briefly in the tube to avoid particle leveling or re-agglomeration. The repeatability and stability of HMK-CD2 are similar to those of advanced foreign instruments globally.
  • The advanced molding method offers HMK-CD2 a small and sensible structure. The measurement and feeding systems are well-organized and have appealing appearances. HMK-CD2 is easy to use and maintain. The latest anti-jamming technology improves electrical stability and minimizes the failure rate.
  • A particle size analysis system is created by connecting HMK-CD2 and any LAPTOP or DESKTOP via a serial data transmission connection. This design removes the usual board connection.
  • Windows-compatible software features a simple interface that is easy to use. Simply click on the Auto Test button and add samples to the tank; the unit will automatically perform all test procedures, including parameter selection, alignment, background test, obscuration adjustment, signal collection, data analysis, results calculation, output, and circulating system cleaning, under computer control. Functions such as result save, query, compare, modify, and delete are easy to do
  • Six result analysis report types include cumulative particle size distribution data and graphs, differential particle size distribution data and histograms, and typical point results such as D3, D10, D25, D50, D75, D84, D90, D97, etc.
  • SOP (Standardized Operational Procedure) is available for a variety of samples, including R.I. (Refractive Index), particle size distribution model, concentration/obscuration, ultrasonic time, sampling time, circulating rate, cleaning time, and so on, to optimize accuracy, stability, and repeatability
  • Anti-vibration and dust-proof techniques are used in the design of the HMK-CD2 to provide safety during transport or the ability to work in robust environments.
